About the Event

The international event ‘Designing for Children’ with focus on ‘Play and Learn’ is scheduled to be held at Mumbai, India from 9th to 11th of February 2017 and is being hosted by the Industrial Design Centre (IDC), at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Mumbai with support from India Design Association (InDeAs) and DesigninIndia.
This international event is aimed at deliberations and discussions concerning design issues related to children. The event is expected to throw light on the role of designing for children as related to design of objects, media and environment with focus on ‘play and learn’.
The events are centered around the interests of students, educationists, practicing designers and children related interest groups. The event has been designed to be lively, interactive and thought provoking and will provide great opportunity to interact with thought leaders and listen to visions by researchers.

The major events during the week are:
1. Design Workshop (9th, February 2017)
2. International Design Conference (10-11, February 2017)
3. Exhibition and Demo of projects on ‘Design for Children’ (9-11, February 2017)
4. Meet on Discussing pedagogic issues about ‘Designing for Children’ (10-11, February 2017)

The registration for the ‘International Conference on Designing for Children’ will start from July 2016 onwards. 
An early registration before 30th November 2016 includes an early rate.
